Page 1 Job Title : Payroll Control Processor III Exempt Department: Accounting 07/26/2013 FLSA : Non- Revision Date : General Function : Processes payroll for the West Des Moines Corporate Office and Bakery Manufacturing. Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: AVP, Financial Reporting Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities : 1. Processes and prepares payroll for the West Des Moines Corporate Office and Bakery Manufacturing. 2. Enters new and existing employee information into the VLM system. 3. Distributes office payroll reports to department heads. 4. Calculates earned vacation time for office employees. 5. Responds to questions regarding payroll and vacation. 6. Processes Hy-Vee stock and investment certificates. 7. Enters new vendors into payable system. 8. Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Prepares envelopes for distribution of checks and reports. 2. Prepares replacement W-2s. 3. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year previous related work experience. Page 2 Physical Requirements: Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Must be physically able to perform light work: lifting no more than 20 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects of no more than 10 pounds; frequent standing or walking. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. There is weekly pressure to meet deadlines. Equipment Used to Perform Job: Calculator, telephone, copier, Fax, PC with Microsoft Office programs, and printer. Financial Responsibility: None. Contacts: Has daily contact with store and office personnel. Confidentiality : Has access to confidential information, including employee records, wages, bonus/commission wages and percentages, stock, and investment certificates.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
