Our Default Servicing team engages, understands and advises consumer real estate customers of available solutions to resolve mortgage delinquencies.
-This position will support the Asset Management and Preservation organization by developing and leading their Vendor Governance program.
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring a risk-based program to identify and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events or may provide oversight of an operational risk program.
- Works with external vendors to assist with the development of contractual documents, scorecards, metrics and action plans.
- Works with business partners and provides operational risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk.
- Identifies and assesses operational risk issues and assigns risk ratings consistent with established policy standards.
- Consults with business to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change.
- Identifies training opportunities; may design/coordinate the development of training materials and delivers training.
- Reports findings and drafts recommendations to mitigate risk to operational risk and business line management.
- Coordinates production of periodic operational risk performance reports for senior management, including trend analysis and recommended strategies.
Basic Qualifications

years in compliance or operational risk mgmt. (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk) and 2
years in one or more of the following: compliance, operational risk mgmt., IT systems security, business process mgmt. or financial services, or a Bachelor's or advanced degree in business or economics.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2
years mortgage experience.

year of mortgage default experience (REO, Foreclosure, Loss mitigation, Collections, Liquidations, Bankruptcy, etc.)
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Well spoken with excellent written and presentation skills.
- Flexibility and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing, highly complex environment.
- Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

- A strong understanding of regulations impacting the mortgage servicing industry.
- Ability to effectively communicate at different levels within the organization.
- Experience monitoring risk in operational processes (regulatory, litigation, financial, operational, reputational, etc.)
- Proficient with loan servicing applications (MSP, VMSOR, Emptoris.)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint.)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
