Job Description:
Under the general supervision of our Finance Manager, the Financial Acountanr will play a crucial role in the preparation of monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
The successful candidate will provide support to various departments, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements with thorough variance analysis.
- Review and analyze accounts, reconciling assigned ledger accounts and general ledger activity.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to understand business needs and adjust processes accordingly.
- Assist in projects and initiatives as required.
- Maintain updated documentation related to responsibilities for reference and control.
- Perform assigned journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide backup support as assigned on the departmental task list.
- Proactively learn about Company Name 's products and services, understanding their impact on financial statements and assigned projects.
- Assist in annual financial statement audits and budget preparation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong financial accounting experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Excel; experience with Access is a plus.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think independently.
- Must be safety-conscious and comply with all safety laws and company policies.
- Valid driver's license required if driving on company business.
Other Details:
- Must be available to work scheduled hours and overtime as necessary.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and travel as required by business needs.
