Vice President, Human Resources

Position Summary The Vice President, Human Resources is responsible for helping lead the mission, vision and strategy of Hubbell Realty Company.
The Vice President will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the organization's HR operations, developing strategic HR initiatives and policies and procedures, leading associate engagement, associate training and talent acquisition and retention.
This position will collaborate closely with executive leadership, business leadership, and managers across Hubbell Realty Company to develop talent and provide consultation to leaders, managers, and other human resources professionals.
This position reports to the General Counsel.
This position has several direct reports including the Human Resources team members and administration team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborates with and provides consultation to executive leadership, business leadership, and managers to develop an innovative strategic plan for human resources for Hubbell Realty Company and its businesses.
Collaborates with executive leadership and business leadership to identify ways to support the organization's goals through associate engagement, training, development, and talent acquisition and retention strategies.
Supervises and directs the activities of the human resources team and the administration team including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and development.
Oversees the regular workflow of the department and the human resources team.
Provides guidance and leadership to the human resources team.
Assists with resolution of human resource, compensation, and benefit questions, concerns, and issues and assists with discipline and/or termination of employees (as necessary) in accordance with company policy.
Ensures compliance of company policies, procedures, federal and state laws and regulations as it relates to employment.
Advises and educates executive leadership, business leadership and managers regarding compliance and best practices.
Participates in professional development events to maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, best practices and innovation in talent management.
Plans, directs, and supervises all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of compensation and benefits programs.
Develops, implements, and manages programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness, market competitiveness, and internal equity among employees.
Identifies key performance indicators for the organization's human resources and talent management functions, assesses the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
Administers benefit programs, including conducting analyses and serving as primary contact with benefit brokers and providers, workers compensation, unemployment, and retirement plans.
Spearheads and provides leadership during the annual open enrollment process.
Plans, directs and supervises required training and talent management training for the entire company.
Develops, implements and manages training programs in a manner that ensures best-in-class training and development, cost effectiveness and compliance among employees.
Oversees creation, evaluation and implementation of job descriptions and performance reviews for the entire company.
Oversees daily administration of other HR services as directed or assigned, including recruitment and selection, promotions, transfers, contract negotiation and administration, workers compensation, OSHA reporting, affirmative action/EEO compliance, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations in accordance with quality management principles and overall objectives of the organization.
Develops, prepares, generates, and analyzes ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc.
Effectively utilizes the data processing system to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data and information.
Using the data, provides consultation to Hubbell leadership and managers on matters as needed.
Drafts and implements the human resources and administration department budget.
Communicates professionally, appropriately, and thoughtfully the status of key initiatives and programs related to HR, training and development, and employee engagement/culture to all levels of the company.
Participates in professional development events and networking groups to maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, best practices and innovation in talent management.
Develops strategy and programs to execute Hubbell's employee engagement and culture of positivity programs, ensure appropriate communications, recognition efforts and retention.
Provides leadership, input and oversight to the company's health and safety programs, compliance requirements and initiatives, giving direction when necessary while assuring that our efforts reinforce the company culture, missing and values.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's degree in human resources preferred.
Minimum ten years of human resource management experience required with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.
HRCI certification and/or SHRM certification required.
Minimum ten years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning employee benefits and compensation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications included Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS software applications required.
Must be in a constant state of alertness to perform essential functions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
