Multimedia Designer Intern - West Des Moines, Iowa Merchants Bonding Company is seeking candidates for a MultiMedia Design Internship for the summer of 2023.
This intern will work full-time (37.
5 hours/week) for 10 weeks (June-August) from our headquarters in West Des Moines, one of the nation's top insurance and finance hubs.
There may be an opportunity to photograph special events that rarely occur on nights and weekends.

About the internship
Experience:
Merchants Bonding Company Summer 2023 internship experience will include opportunities for community service projects, cross-departmental learning, intern networking, as well as social and educational events.
The group will work closely together on projects that impact the business directly as well as gain real-world experiences.
Qualifications:
Currently junior or senior-level student working toward their Bachelors degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Digital Design, Marketing, or a related field.
GPA of 3.
0 or above.
A complete portfolio of multimedia design content showcasing your skills and experience.
Skilled at visualizing and creating attractive graphics, images, and typography for various mediums such as print and web.
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud programs like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Bridge.
Basic knowledge of photography and how to use a professional camera system.
Communication and collaboration skills.
Organized and able to handle multiple duties.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Video production and editing skills are a plus!
Responsibilities:
Assists with developing various types of print and digital creative content including advertisements, brochures, magazines, presentations, social media, websites, video, etc.
Produces content utilizing design elements that are consistent with brand and style guidelines.
Collaborates with the marketing team from concept development to delivery of final product.
Presents concepts and ideas, prepares rough designs, and solicits feedback to incorporate into final designs.
Assists with photo and video shoots including studio set-up, editing, organizing, and photographing.
Assists with asset management including organizing, editing, saving, and tagging photo and video files.
Create social media graphics and content to gain company exposure and promote various initiatives.
Brainstorms and contributes creative ideas for photos, videos, and imagery.
