Think you've got what it takes to join our TIC team? Keep reading Essential Functions Wondering what a day in the life of a Pathology Assistant at The Iowa Clinic might look like? Accepts specimens and requisitions from external and internal customers Identifies patients/specimens using two unique patient identifiers Entering specimens into the system Follows established procedures and policies including infection control and bloodborne pathogens.
Answering phones Scanning and filing Assist Pathologists with written transcription Follows established workflow for optimal turnaround times Handles all send outs for consults and further testing Collects specimens from internal clinics Performs Cytology processing of Non-Gyns and Pap Smears as needed Problem solves with internal and external clinics This job might be for you if you have Qualifications A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career High School diploma or equivalent required.
